Who is Project Freedom

The concerns of Project Freedom are for those who are involved in substance abuse. This encompasses those who are addicted to illegal drugs along with other forms of addiction such as legal medication, alcohol and aerosols.

Our name and the image that heads our website emphasise our vision, which is to help people to live free from all forms of addiction.

We also work amongst young people, aiming to avoid addictions from developing in the first place.

Urgent Request

Project Freedom operates a Portable Skate Park Service under the name of RampRiders. We currently run three skate parks but we urgently need a place to store them. If you are able to help, please contact David Calland on 07821 396300 or through our Contact Page.

What are Our Aims

The aims of the charity are:

  • To steer people, particularly the young, away from getting started with drugs and substance abuse in the first place.
  • To provide detoxification options for those who are addicted and who want to be free.
  • To help people who are free from substance abuse to be rehabilitated and integrated back into society.
  • To provide ongoing support and mentoring for people at every stage of their struggle with substance abuse.

How are We Structured

At present, the charity consists of four activity areas:

  • Charity Shops, which are the charity's primary source of income
  • Mobile Skate Park that particularly concentrates on reaching young people and steering them away from substance abuse or any other form of anti-social activities
  • Mentoring Service, which offers the guidance, encouragement and support to help avoid addiction taking hold in the first place and to help others overcome their addictions and regain their lives.
  • Bicycle Repair Facility, which is currently in the development stage. It is intended to complement the Mobile Skate Park and also offer meaningful employment to vulnerable people, including those who are overcoming addictions in their lives.
Our vision is to establish this facility as a permanent workshop.
